He says, however, that the OEM and Gateway licenses won't work with the DAQ software they're using because of some issue with 3rd party OPC clients (It's a custom LabView program). The DAQ machine pulls tag data from 3-4 PLC systems in the building, so I assumed Classic OEM would do the job. Now I've spoken to my boss about what license we should get. At some point, the RSLinx Professional license was moved to another machine to use for some testing and never moved back. They've had the system working for a while, but it sat unused for about a year. My customer is running a DAQ machine (Windows XP SP2) to collect data from RSLinx OPC. I'm stuck in an infinite loop of confusion with the licenses for this software and I'm hoping someone on here might help shed some light for me.
